Emergency Rental Assistance

Pierce Street’s Emergency Rental Assistance is designed for households that are generally self-sufficient but are experiencing a temporary financial setback, such as job loss or an unexpected major expense. This one-time assistance aims to help families avoid eviction.

Qualification Criteria

• Your lease must have been in force for at least 150 days
• Your outstanding balance must be less than 2.5x your monthly rent charge
• You must not have received emergency rental assistance in the past 365 days
• You have received a Rent Demand Letter (Pay Or Quit) from your landlord 14 or more days ago

How To Apply

Before applying, please gather the following documents

• Proof of Rent Demand Letter from landlord
• Proof of economic need, such as
  • Notification from your employer regarding loss of income
  • Copy of a large, unexpected bill
